Australian 12m on Steak and Kidney

KA-14 challenged to defend Australia in Perth in 1987 but did not make the finals.  The boat proved to be very fast but lacked funds. Its syndicate was completed too late to be competitive.  She was one of the last 12 meters ever designed and is regarded by many as one of the fastest 12m’s ever constructed.  KA-14 Steak & Kidney was designed by Peter Cole and built by Consolidated Marine.  This classic 12m has been operating as a 25 passenger charter vessel, match racing against 1977 challenger, “Australia.”  In 2004 she was refitted for charter and repainted to original colors of white and pale blue.
