Yorke Peninsula

The Yorke Peninsula is located about a one hour drive north-west and west of Adelaide, between Spencer Gulf on the west and Gulf St Vincent on the east.

The Yorke Peninsula is mainly a farming region, but also has over 700km of spectacular coastline and beaches. The gulf waters offer some excellent fishing, including the King George Whiting, delicate garfish, and blue swimmer crabs.

The region has some beautiful scenic drives. While taking a drive you can enjoy a day at one of the country markets, stop at a tavern for a country meal or visit one of the home-style cafes or bakeries for morning or afternoon tea.
