Enjoy the exhillaration of speeding down a track on a mountain bike. Experience the beauty of the bush in the mountains and pine forests surrounding Canberra. Your mountain bike trips are all accompanied by experienced guides. The bikes are fitted with index gears, front suspension, V brakes and gel seat covers for your riding comfort and safety. No experience is necessary! After an initial safety briefing the group will mount up and start the leisurely ride along the fire trails towards Majura Pines. Heading through the saddle to arrive at the Majura pine Forest the scenery changes from native eucalypt to pine forest. Single track riding to suit all abilities. Your group winds through the pine forest to finish at Majura winery for wine tasting and afternoon tea before being bused back to your start location.

We are open from 7am Monday to Saturday for breakfast and lunch and have great options for a quick bite to eat throughout the day. We also offer a canapé menu for EQ hosted events and external catering solutions which include morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. The Black bear’s restaurant has been a long time favourite and well known for its European style of food.   Both restaurant and bar underwent some improvements during 2011 and the atmosphere is alive and buzzing at Black Bear once again.  The cuisine is fresh and uncomplicated and has a subtle European influence.  There is a wide choice of Imported and Australian Beers and Schnapps to tempt every ones taste together with an extensive wine list to compliment your experience. We can comfortably cater for groups or special functions of up to 50 people in this delightful venue.  During the winter months we offer a ‘ Private Dining Room ‘ service for groups of up to 16 people. You can also relax and enjoy a schnapps or two in the cozy lounge area and be inspired by the breath taking views of our beautiful mountains that are visible from both bar and restaurant areas, making Black Bear a fabulous vantage point to watch the Ski School Flare runs and fireworks displays during the winter season, or during the summer months, sit on the balcony and chill out while soaking up the sun and views.
