Reef World is an all natural aquarium, using only sand filtered sea water and natural sunlight. There are very few aquariums in the world that are all natural therefore making this place unique. By being all natural you are able to visit the reef without getting wet. Most of our marine life and all of our corals are local and from the Wide Bay Area. The Aquarium was EST: 1979 and has gone through many changes over the years.
Wonder around the tanks, spot the shark eggs & babies, give a green sea turtle a scratch, swim with the sharks or feed our giant 80kilo Queensland blue grouper.
Our Admission price includes a day pass to allow you to come and go throughout the day to attend all feeds. We offer hands on experience which allows you to handle some of the marine life and fee them as well.

In November 2010, Viva Italia became a family run business for local residents Steve and Irene.  Since that time they have introduced some new and exciting changes that make Viva Italia the most family friendly, value for money restaurant in the Bay.  The well established restaurant has had a face lift in recent times.  The original Viva Bar has been remodelled to accommodate two large Jim Beam fridges and to include seating for a pre-dinner cocktail or two.    A fresh coat of paint, a full wall mural depicting Portofino, two large air conditioning units, ceiling fans and free Wi-Fi and large screen TV have all added to the comfort of diners.

The craft is foam-filled for positive floatation, and is virtually bulletproof – there are no air bags on this boat. We have more than 36 years experience in commercial ocean boating activities and lifejackets and safety equipment are supplied.

A wonderfully appointed function room, which overlooks the Glasshouse Mountains with huge plate glass windows from ceiling to floor.The Glasshouse Room can accommodate minimum 60 to a maximum of 130 guests. Included is your own private bar, dance floor and is also air conditioned and heated – You also have the use of your own private deck. Our other function room, which is located next to our al a Carte restaurant also shares the views of the magnificent Glasshouse Mountains and will cater for the smaller wedding parties. You have the use of Patricks Irish Bar to entertain your guests while enjoying pre dinner drinks and Hors-D, Oeuves on the deck. Our menu is quite extensive and delicious.
